we've been making pina coladas (mine virgin), but the ingredients are very very sweet. i'm midwestern (sugar tolerant) and it's still TOO sweet.

what would be a neutral base to add? seltzer, herbal tea? other ideas??

Ok I think I'm on the mend after a bit of a week under the weather. Bad sore throat - but swab results are back and not strep; home antigen nose swab test for covid was negative.
Recovery foods were nice and hearty, soft and mostly rice based:
Suimai and lo mai gai 2 nights ago and venn pongal (almost phena bhaat) - ginger, black pepper & curry leaf spiced yesterday, and then again today with sour/tangy sambar and turmeric gently spiced fried up boiled cubed potatoes.
