The image shows the upper portion of a quaint house with a distinct plain Dutch architectural style. The house has a steeply pitched white gable roof with a single central window at the top and two additional windows below it. All the windows have cream-colored frames and are covered from the inside with a vivid reddish-pink covering or curtain, giving them a bold, uniform appearance.

There is a small spiked bird deterrent on the chimney-like structure at the top of the gable. The lower part of the image includes a dark, shadowed brick wall in the foreground, and part of an adjoining roof with reddish-brown tiles and a black chimney pipe is visible on the left side. The sky is mostly cloudy but shows some patches of blue, contributing to the contrast and lighting in the image.

Update to last week’s window picture.

On the alley-side of the building, there’s a planter box where, today, a few tulips are blooming.

Beside the glass block alley-side window of a brick building is a simple planting box made of landscape timbers. In the box a few tulip plants have survived and are beginning to bloom.

This orange and yellow tulip is catching some early afternoon sunshine and seems to glow.

Photo taken from inside looking at woods. The inside of the building is not lit so the wooden window frame looks dark. The glass of the window is old and deforms the view of the trees. There is a bit of mystery in the composition.

King Arthur's Great Hall, Tintagel, Cornwall

Contains a fabulous collection of glass on the theme of the legends of King Arthur, all designed by Veronica Whall, using the streaky slab glass developed by her father Christopher Whall. This one depicts Arthur extracting Excalibur, the mythical sword.

a window from the outside of a museum in oslo. there is text on the window that says "entrance opposite side" in norwegian and english. the frame of the window and the text cast shadows on the curtain behind them, making curvy lines and text on the curtain. it was a bright summer day when the photo was taken.

photo from last week from my sister in Sicily:
there's a lot going on visually.... Photo is taken of the window in this historic small museum. The window reflects her shadow and the blue sky with clouds, plus buildings and trees nearby. Hanging in the window are small pieces of bread baked into decorative shapes and letters of the alphabet, with strands of long leafy can't think of the word, like strings of Christmas decorations.

A group of city commissioners in hard hats and high vis vests stand in front of the north (front) entry to the Oregon State Capitol. The multi-story bronze entry windows remain in place, while bronze doors have been removed for restoration. The art deco style building is clad in Carrera marble, with incised eagle and sun motif over the grand entry glazing. A small portion of the drum above is visible.
