Unreality

Black and white photograph of a forest of leafless birches and evergreens on one side of a hill, with snow on the forest floor and low fog right in the middle. A light spiral filter was applied on the picture, creating a torsion in the fog and bending some trees.

I've been looking at this picture for weeks, unsatisfied and not knowing what I would do with it. I woke up too early this morning, feeling like reality is distorted and bent under human will. This picture is still real but has something wrong, like it might break.

Spider web or mycilium?

UPDATE 1-1-2023: definitely a spider web. Size increased a bit overnight, and I saw a cluster of small orange spiders working on the construction of this sheet web. Most likely Black-Tailed Red Sheetweaver, Florinda coccinea
