Ok #Vancouver, here's an easy one, voter suppression for 2026:

"Oh no, my subjects, lines were so long and we need to protect the overworked staff. In the past, if you were IN the lineup at 8pm, you can vote. Now...(Insert pinky into corner of mouth)...at 8pm if you haven't voted, you can't. Meow."

18 months. Get rid of your fascists. Or get out of the way, for someone whom will.

Ok #Vancouver, this is the dress rehearsal for the fall 2026 election fiasco when this horrible mayor & council will do way more voter suppression and not just on election day.

Today they say it was the staff decision to reduce staffing so much despite a huge increase in advance turnout. Bullshit.

This guy is a liar. You can't trust this guy. Good thing you have 18 months to get a momentum going to eradicate that entire party.

Hmm, do I want to get into an argument on Bluesky about why the city of #Vancouver gutting their #byelection staff and polling stations smells like voter suppression? I probably don't.

If you make it harder to vote, where people have to wait 1-2 hours in line, gig workers and those working multiple jobs are less likely to have the time to vote. So, the people who would most benefit from a local government focused on social supports can't easily vote for those supports.

Maybe it's a screwup by the government outside of any political leanings, but the purpose of a system is what it does.

Ready to shout into the void about #cdnpoli in #Vancouver, but if VoteWell is going to try to throw our star NDP MPs under the bus, it must be said: You don't vote for the leader, you vote for your MP. Look at who they are.

388canada has this projection for #vancouver-kingsway, a riding that well remembers the David Emerson LPC to CPC defection. Would we really give up on the hardest working MP in Ottawa to vote on the LPC brand? I hope not, and I think these kinds of projections are bullshit.
