This shot of a wandering tattler always reminds me of The Karate Kid movie scene where Mr. Miyagi catches flies with a chopstick :D
life's been stressful the past month or two, so I've barely done any birding or photography, and definitely haven't had the energy to post much, but slowly finding the time and energy for it again
Here's a black headed gull from a week and a half ago. The little guy is over 10 years old, and has been visiting the exact same spots in town during spring for the past 7 years.
Godwits in Formation
These five birds are likely marbled godwits (Limosa fedoa), although it’s possible they could be Hudsonian godwits (Limosa haemastica). I encountered both species last year in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Step into a world where even the smallest moments—like the glint in a bird's eye—tell their own story.

The End
These little Wrens are pretty hard to get close to and are always in thick shrubbery.
Sparrow's Prize Moment
Chipping sparrows (Spizella passerina) are abundant right now, though they will soon begin their migration north in the coming months. While I often spot them at my bird feeders enjoying seeds, they are also known to feed on insects. Here is one captured in a remarkable moment, perched with a small green caterpillar in its beak.
If you enjoy photos of birds and other wildlife, take a look at my photo gallery. Sparrows are never overlooked—they're a valued and important part of my collection. Feel free to explore!
A preening kuaka (bar-tailed godwit) I met before sunrise yesterday morning.

Waddle at the Groene Jonker. Lakes surrounded by fields of reed. Bluethroats were a bit shy, but saw many sedge warblers and savi’s warblers.
