Foxgloves, their Latin name, Digitalis, means 'finger-like' and refers to the tubular flowers of the Foxglove. It is also the name of the drug that comes from the toxins of Foxgloves and is prescribed for heart conditions.

It's farmers market season again in Half Moon Bay, California — so I get to share a bunch of gorgeous flowers. Today we had a lot of ranunculus.
At the end of the walk, I just wanted to check one area and I am glad I did. Wild azalea, one of my favorite flowers, was in full bloom.

So a couple of photographers were in the peach grove where we were outside Osaka castle, and they were serious about their work. I was bopping around snapping everything, but this guy in particular was really taking his time framing up a single branch.
