Four photos of puffy pink japanese cherry blossoms in full bloom. But shot at night, with our Moon's cool light lurking in from between the branches

Those trees are decorating a city center, so they are lit from below

Rosy colours contrasting nicely with cold dark sky

Depth of field was a nightmare, though. Ended up blending two images to get both a sharp moon and crisp blossoms in the front.

After two happy years on the Fediverse (and many more to come as I feel so at home here), time for an updated #introduction post!

You will find me sharing mostly #LandscapePhotography, #NightPhotography, #MacroPhotography and #BirdPhotography.

Below are a few of my landscape photos.

The Old Man of Storr, a 55-meter-high basalt pinnacle, on a sunny day with a few clouds, looking out to sea over an island and then beyond to shores and mountains.
A small group of hikers can be seen at the bottom of the photo, giving a better idea of the scale.

About ten successive layers of wooded hilltops separated by seas of shiny white fog trapped in the valleys under a blue sky.

A conifer-covered ridge line emerges against the last evening light, while the upper sky is already dark and revealing the first stars.

Just after sunset, the sky shows a gradation of colors from dark blue to blazing orange and red. The ocean is still slightly visible in the lower half of the photo. A string of rocky islet silhouettes lies between sea and sky across the entire width of the scene.
